Wanna see something cute!?

We all know about Zak and his 'sweet brown puppy'. Well he is still attached to this thing..and he's 6. I think it's so cute! The other night right before bed I asked him to finish up one of his math sheets and climbed up to the breakfast bar to do it......and his little friend came along too. Charles and I laugh because he always looks like he's choking the poor thing but it's so cute how he tucks it into his left arm :)

Can a Vase bring you happiness?

I have determined that ......it absolutely can! Silly to some, but after this 'journey', this is what I've been WAITING to see, finish touches!

I hit Pier 1's 75% off sale a couple weeks ago and scored a lot of nice items for decorating the house, but out of everything that day, here is my favorite piece:




It is on my breakfast bar in a little nook area on the end and is the first thing I see usually when I walk in the front door. It makes me feel all cozy inside and makes me feel like the house is coming together!

I love the gathered detail on the top..



And the dark brown wooden flowers, so pretty!
