What was I thinking? Well, I know what I was thinking.............I wanted pretty nails lol. I haven't had acrylic nails since I had Zak. I just decided that it was easier to not have them for a while, then a while turned into many years. but lately I've really been wanting to go get some again and I found that there is a shop here that is very reasonable AND people tell me they are the best in this town. GREAT! So I go get my pretty set of shiny nails (RED!)

Yes..I did realize we are in the middle of a remodel and this is one reason I've postponed getting them until now...but I reasoned I'd be careful. Well, today my project was to refinish an entertainment center and side tables for the spare room. This involves lots of sanding...LOTS, which don't go well w/ nails, and stain. Also, not a good combo. So poor Charles just went to the store for laytex gloves for me. and I just spent 10 minutes srubbing my hands LOL. AAAHHHHH.... what a price we pay for beauty! lol

HOpefully soon I can show you before and afters of a beautifully finished new set of furniture. As I work on this project, again, I am asking WHAT WAS I THINKING? Refinishing furniture is a big, laborous job. Not terribly technical, just time consuming and a headache. AHHHH, what a price we pay to save a penny. Or SEVERAL pennies in this case :)

Oohhhhhhh, Charles just got home and brought me a REALLLLL goodie...Oh I can't wait to tell you all about this. I'll get a pic and post, tomorrow maybe. WOW! he's soo cool!!

Not letting the grass grow under our feet!
