Update on Us.......playing catchup

So, it's been a bit since I've updated everyone so I'll try to catch everyone up.

Weekend before last we moved out of that tiny apartment, thank GOODNESS. This house may be in complete disarray but it is 1000% times better than that apt.! It took us Friday night, all of Saturday and part of Sunday to move and all of Sunday and part of Monday to clean that place. SHEW!

Then the following Monday (the 1st) the moving truck brought the rest of our 'house' out and we finished moving in. We haven't seen this stuff in 6 months! We forgot what all we had! lol



First meal (dinner) in our 'new' house. Charles seems to think he looks better w/ a mad face... ?


Settling in a bit... love those boxes for side tables! Beds on floor? Rails were not unpacked yet. (they are now and our rooms are looking a bit more normal).







The next morning we celebrate waking up to our 'new' house. We had these little popper things that sprays out streamers when you pull them. We had a big b-fast and then celebrated w/ our poppers. Sorry if it's blurry, trying to catch the action!







The next day, Home Depot had a major paint sale, so I had to quickly get all my paint colors chosen so we could save some $$.



That just LOOKS like a lot of work. I'll post all my color choices when I can, but for now this is my living room color...a robins egg bluish green.. ?



So we have been hard at work trying to unpack a few things (not everything until our carpet is installed). But in the middle of all that we are trying to get things done that HAVE to be done before carpet can go in...and in between all that, school started for the kids, which means ME too since we are homeschooling. Oh and in between all that, we have our regular life to keep afloat, meeting, service, etc. today I have given myself permission to catch up on other things and I think we will dedicate just one day a week to house stuff, and the other weekdays, just our normal schedule. We'll just have to be weekend warriors for a while!


Oh and somewhere in there, my appliances came so I went and picked them up. WHAT a relief! No living out of a cooler! We did that for 2 days. this is me, welcoming my fridge:



LOL!

And, Charles managed to also install my dishwasher and LET ME TELL YA, i will NEVER take that thing for granted again! I've been w/o one for 6 months!!
